Essential oils are often used to ease stress, boost mood, relieve pain from headaches and migraines, get a better night's sleep, quell nausea, and even repel insects. Most essential oils have antiseptic properties as well.

How to use essential oils? Essential oils can be used in three ways—applied to the skin, inhaled, or ingested. Within each of these, there are many different kinds of application methods. For example, you can apply essential oils topically using compresses, sprays, baths, or massaging them into the skin.

Here are some essential oils which we use in Soapatico products:

Orange 5 fold EO - It has a sweet, citrus smell. Orange is a very nutritious fruit containing vitamins A, B and C. Is known to be an antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal. It may also help to reduce cellulite, stress and acne. It is calming and helps to promote a restful sleep, along with being uplifting and may improve alertness.

Spearmint EO - Cool, minty aroma with hints of fruitiness. Calming & relaxing. Inspiring, clearing & awakening.

Lavender EO - It has a sweet, floral, but a crisp herbal scent with a balsamic undertone. Many people use lavender to promote a blissful sleep and serenity. Lavender essential oil promotes a sense of calm and relaxation.

 May chang EO – It has a spicy, lemony, citrus aroma with vegetative notes. Known as an 'oil of tranquility' May Chang is recognized for its ability to promote physical relaxation and mental calm.

  Lime EO - This clear smelling citrus oil can help lift depression and lighten your mood when feeling blue. It is used to fight cellulite and to tone the skin in general. Lime oil has a sharp, citrus peel smell.

  Cedarwood EO - It has a woody, balsamic aroma with smoky undertones. It is said to have a calming, soothing effect on the mind and body and can help with respiratory and skin problems.
